SURGERY

Patients will need to have fasted (no eating/drinking) for 8 hours prior to their procedure/surgery time.  Taking your morning medications with a small sip of water is okay.  Please fast for 8 hours prior to your scheduled OR time.

WHO

Dr. Roth's Team

All surgeries performed by Dr. Roth include other team members: the anaesthesiologist (another physician who is in charge of sedation and/or pain control through the use of regional or general anaesthesia), the nursing team (at least 2 nurses are usually involved), and in some larger surgeries, an assistant surgeon.  Dr. Roth is usually assisted by one of his urologist colleagues, Dr. D. Kim or Dr.  M. Chang.  Operating room assistants are also involved in patient transfer and room sterilization. 

WHERE & WHEN

Please check in 2 hours prior to surgery at Patient Registration.  Paid parking is available, flanking the hospital on both the north and south sides of the hospital building.

WHAT

Surgeries performed by Dr. Roth commonly help deal with the following problems: kidney cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer; kidney, ureter, and bladder stone disease; scrotal masses; phimosis; urinary incontinence.  There are also other conditions affecting the genito-urinary tract that he can help treat.
